Asia Pearlite Casting Industries (API)

Asia Pearlite Casting Industries (API), a proud member of the Shayan Industrial Group, is one of Iran’s largest and most advanced foundries. Situated on a 100,000 m² site in Saveh Industrial Zone — the biggest industrial hub in Iran — API’s nominal capacity is 40,000 tons of gray and ductile automotive castings annually.

What sets API apart in the Iranian foundry industry is its combination of state-of-the-art green sand foundry technology and the unmatched technical expertise of its highly skilled foundrymen. This synergy enables API to deliver reliable, high-quality castings that meet both domestic and international standards.

Mass production officially began in October 2010, but the vision for API started much earlier. In 2006, recognizing the growing demand of the local automotive market for raw parts, as well as increasing opportunities for export, Shayan Industrial Group made the strategic decision to establish a large-scale foundry project in four phases.

To ensure world-class execution, Gemco (Netherlands) was commissioned in June 2006 as a European consultant to prepare the concept engineering and feasibility study for Phase 1.
